Ok, at the request of someone who downloads from me, here is part 1 of my Windows XP collection. This is Windows XP Media Centre 2002, fully activated and fully compliant with WGA checks and also Windows Updates. This file includes the following:

Windows XP ISO Image File

ReadMe which contains some useful guidance and info

PowerISO is also included, to allow you to burn the Windows XP image if you have no ISO software installed.

Shown below is the content of the ReadMe

Windows XP Media Centre Edition 2002

FAQ's

Is this version of Windows XP activated?

YES! 100%

Does this version of Windows XP work with Automatic Updates and Windows Genuine Advantage [WGA]?

Yes! 100%

Ok, great so what do i do with it now i've downloaded it?

Well, simply use your favourite ISO burner, or install the copy of PowerISO i have provided with
the torrent, and slip in a CD-R/RW or a DVD-R/RW and burn the image. This disc will then be bootable.

Umm ok well why won't my computer boot from the CD/DVD?

Check your BIOS! There should be an option somewhere something like "Choose first boot Device", make
sure that this option boots from your CD/ATAPI drive FIRST. Then when it asks you to press any key
to boot from CD, just press any key to start Windows Setup.

So, i plan to install this on my computer, what features does this edition come with?

Well, the features it comes with are:

- .NET 1, 1SP1, and 2 are fully integrated and have been slipstreamed.

- Service Pack 3 is also fully slipstreamed.

- Windows Media Player 11 is installed by default

- Internet Explorer 7 is also installed by default

- No need to enter a product key, as that too is slipstreamed

- Also comes with Windows Dancer and all of the extra Media Centre features.

- x86 [32bit], so it is compatible with most software made for Windows

- Includes the Royale theme for Media Centre

CAN U DISABLE ALL THE ANNOYIN FEATURES THT POPS UP ON U MORE WHILE?
What in the hell are you talking about? You mean Security Centre? Go to control panel and work it out from there or google "Disable [Feature here]"
I can upload the original MCE, however I find this easier as it only uses one disc, whereas the standard one is 2 discs. And there is no discernable difference between them both :)
sounds great downloading now great instructions and i like how you include poweriso although i already have it.
desperately needs seeders will seed when done
downloading now will pos review
Torrent_Meister, you mentioned that you can upload the original MCE that comes in 2 Disks. I have been removing viruses and from my laptop and now it keeps asking for disk 2 of MCE. I really need this 2 Disk version (specifically XP MCE 2002 SP2). Can you please upload? It would help me out greatly.

For folks who got in the same bind as me with a sony Vaio VGC-RC110G. Yes, this cd works. Not all the drivers for things like the ethernet and audio. But it will absolutely get you past the "No Drives Found" issue. THANKS SEEDERS!!! YOU GUYS ARE MY SAVIOR!
Works perfectly. No issues at all on an ancient Vaio RZ 22G. Thanks so much.
Fine work sir! Works like a champ.
If you cannot use this to repair-install an existing Media Center installation, then it is NOT "kosher", and you didn't make it right.

So....does it?

= = = = = =

FIRST RULE OF WINDOWS XP CD "BUILDS":

-- If they don't support "repair-install", then they are:

SHIT.

Why? A clean-install of XP is the biggest fucking pain in the ass if you have anything newer than a Pentium III, because you'll be missing half the drivers, and it'll be a goddamn chore to hunt all the fuckers down.

And every uploader who doesn't say whether repair-install is supported needs to be punched in the head until he shapes up.

(Been looking, for years, for a clear repair-install capable CD of Media Center which does NOT demand a serial half-way through.)
Asks for a product-key halfway through the install.
